Bad Credit Credit Cards

Build you Credit History with a No or Poor History Credit Card

There are credit card companies that specialise in offering bad credit credit cards, with the Capital One Classic Credit Card being one such card. You should be aware that these cards to tend to have a higher APR than other credit cards. This is due to the higher risk that these cards may carry for the issuer. As we always do, we recommend that you try to pay off the balance, in full, each month.

If you do have a bad credit history, then you should start rebuilding your credit history and you can find further information on this in out article Improve Your Credit History.

Remember that you should always seek professional help if you are having financial difficulties and that credit cards that are designed for people with a poor credit history often carry a significantly higher interest rate. Our Further Advice page contains details of government organisations, charities and other professionals who are there to help you.

Of course, it's not only people who have a bad credit history that may find it difficult to get a credit card. You may have little or no credit history, be a student, new to the country, on a low income or retired. These are all reasons why you may not be eligible with some credit card issuers.

If you have not had a credit card before or are unable to get a credit card from other issuers, then it is possible that the cards listed here are suitable for you.

If you are a student, then there are also card issuers who specialise in cards for you. For further information on student credit cards, see our Student Credit Cards page.

The recent Credit Crunch has made it more difficult to get a loan or a credit card. If you are still finding it difficult to get a credit card, then our article Can't get a Credit Card? has further resources that may be helpful to you.
