Up to 16 Months Interest Free Credit

The credit card market is as competitive as ever, with up to 16 months interest free credit, now available, on balance transfers.

It may be true that the so-called Credit Crunch is now in full-swing, but that doesn't mean that the credit card market is any less competitive or that the credit card vendors are any less keen to get some of your business.

By now, we're all too familiar with the credit crunch and that the country, in fact the world, is heading into a recession. This, inevitably, means that it is becoming more and more difficult to get credit, whether it is a new credit card or a loan. It is several months since Egg hit the headlines, when they started to close the accounts of some of the less ‘desirable' customers and all credit card vendors continue to tighten their acceptance criteria for new card applications.

Despite all of this, there are still some great deals out there and the card companies are as keen as ever, to get the right business. Both the Egg Card and Virgin Credit Card are now offering 16 months interest free balance transfers (fees apply).

Of course, these cards are only available to people who have a good credit rating. If your credit rating is less than exemplary, then there are still credit cards available to you, such as the Capital One Classic Credit Card.
